Introducing...

Kara. Appearance-wise, blond-hair, blue eyes... typical for an American with Swedish ancestry... anyway... you can consult the pictures for further reference if you need to.
It's kind of hard to sum myself up in a few words. Let me try though...
I love music, particularly when I'm creating it! I love playing my piano and learning how to play guitar- and I enjoy singing, especially when I'm with the Heart of Worship team, leading worship on a Saturday night or Sunday morning!
I also enjoy basketball, hand-lettering, and being with friends- which is hard to get away from where I live, here in Uganda!
I have been an MK (missionary kid) for five years now, and am just getting ready to go to college next year.
But I can't leave out the most important thing in my life- my Lord and Lover, and Savior, Jesus Christ. He is the reason I live and breathe, and His hand guides my footsteps in this foreign land I call home and will guide my footsteps in my homeland which has become foreign (confused yet? Welcome to my life!).

Introducing...

…Kasana
In Luganda, my name means sunshine, and I try to live up to it! (Perhaps the blond hair helps?) But I’m surrounded by much brighter sunshine since I currently live in Uganda, East Africa. Not to mention the sunshine others bring into my life! I love singing in Heart of Worship, hanging out with my brothers and friends, and reading! I’ve lived in Uganda since I was eight, although my family has gone back to the States several times for furlough. I have amazing friends in both places and try to keep in touch with them no matter which side of the world I’m on. One of my favorite things in Uganda is the relationship-centered environment. Whenever you walk somewhere, you must greet everyone you pass. Stopping and having a conversation is far more important that being on time for whatever meeting you’re going to. Although that sometimes frustrates me (I like being on time!), it certainly helps me get my priorities straight! I love living here, even though I do miss my friends Stateside, and am so thankful Jesus called my family to live in both places!

Introducing...

Christina. I won’t take time to describe my appearance because you can look at the photo and see for yourself.  I love hanging out with my friends, playing Settlers of Catan with my family, cuddling and playing with the kids at the baby house, doing PE with the Treasures at Treasures Class, praising God at church in several different languages, and reading, whether with my little friends at David Family or by myself!   My life is somehow different from most fourteen-year-olds.  I speak a bit of two languages and a lot of a third.  Sometimes I live in a place where it snows in September and temperatures plummet below freezing.  Other times I live where 20^oC is cold and when it’s raining you can’t hear anything but drops bouncing of the metal roof.  Who am I really? I’m a mostly normal (I suppose some would disagree) girl who has been called by God on an amazing and exciting adventure of faith.  I don’t know what my life is going to be like in the future, but I know someone who does.  And He has loved me, redeemed me, and has everything in His control.

Introducing....

....Catriona. I'm supposed to be describing myself, but actually, when it comes to describing yourself it can be quite difficult. As you can see from the pictures, I have brown hair and glasses. I'm a people-person. If I ever have a spare moment, I'm out of my house and finding someone to visit with. I love to cook. It is relaxing and fun for me to create some new concoction. I love music whether it is singing, playing guitar, or playing piano. I love helping out in the Special Needs class as well as at the baby house. I love to see Hassan (in the picture below) smile, Ruth praying, and Sharon caring for her friends. I love to use a camera to capture these precious children. If you had to ask me who has influenced my life in a very large way, I would have to say the Treasures in Jars of Clay class. Even though they had broken bodies, their lives teach so much...but now I'm off track. I love helping people and one day, I would like to work with Special Needs. Although all these things are great, the most important thing is that I love Jesus and that I believe He came and died for me.
